As I rocked Giovanny tonight, I thought of my blessed grandmother who spent most of her life rocking her children, grandchildren and every one elses children to sleep. Then I thought of the songs she sang us. And "Papa what would you take for me" cane to mind. Here are the words to that precious song that will forever ring in my memory of beloved thoughts.

"PAPA, WHAT WOULD YOU TAKE FOR ME ?"

She was ready for sleep and she lay on my arm
In her little frilled cap so fine,
With her golden hair falling out at the edge
Like a circle of noon sunshine;

Conference Sunday with 2 grandbabies 4/12/2009

Today was General Conference. We chose to stay at home and watch it on tv rather than getting dressed and going to church to watch it on the screen. Needless to say not a lot of General Conference got heard. Although we had a wonderful time playing with the grandbabies. They are growing up way to fast.

Giovanny and the Sock adventure. 4/11/2009

Giovanny helped me fold socks today. Ok maybe unfolded more than I got folded. He is so very sweet. I get to see him every day because he and mommy are still living with Nana and Papa. He truly is a blessing in our lives. Such a good little boy.

Saturday Day 5 of siding 4/11/2009

We had a group from the church that helped. Bro Edwards, Bro Johnson, Bishop and his sons, Bro Jenni, Bro Penick, the missionaries, Ryan, Rodney, and Bro Hartman all came to help. What a blessing that we belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We live the law of serving others. And what great service was given to us today. Thank you all that helped.

Day 4 of Siding--West side completed 4-10-2009

Zeff helped Chris today. They went all the way to the top!! The west side is now complete. Moving right along.

Day 3 of Siding 4/8/2009

Ryan Williams and Brent came and helped Chris today. I did my part too. It was actually fun, in a scarry kind of way. But I love to see the progress.

Day 2 of siding 4-7-2009

Rodney and Brent and myself, helped Chris on the siding today. It was a little windy but it wasn't Raining!!

We had a beautiful day to start our siding. Unfortunately not a lot of people could stay because it was Conference weekend. We did get some done though.

The fireplace and Chimney were removed today. Yeah!!

Chris removed the chimney and the fireplace. As you can see the chimney fell in the hole. But Chris got it out with his tried and true backhoe. It was fun. Also our front door has become a window. This side is now ready for siding.

Deck Removal 4-3-2009

The deck is now gone. It was fun to watch Chris dismantle it. The front door is now a window. Now to get rid of the fireplace and chimney. I am so excited.

Yeah, The roof is COMPLETE!! March 21

After too much rain and too much snow and much hardship, I am proud to announce......

OUR ROOF IS NOW COMPLETE!

We are so excited and relieved. Now on to greater endeavors.

May 1st is the deadline. :)

Giovanny's Update Jan-Mar

This is a collage of Giovanny for the last 3 months. Giovanny and Rikki is now living with us since the end of January. So we go to church together and to the park. Nana feeds him, gives him baths, and brushes his teeth. Mom works a lot so we have a lot of time with him. He is growing so fast. He just turned 9 months old the 11th of March. He has two teeth and is crawling everywhere. We love him so much.

The Deck and Roof January 1,2009

Chris continues to work on our home. We now have the deck and roof above it completed. The deck is huge. I am so excited about it. Now on to the shingling of the new part. We are looking at having the house completed in spring.

Our Beautiful Family Christmas December 25,2008

What a beautiful Christmas we had this year. It was full of fun and laughter. We played games, ate food, visited and just enjoyed being around each other. We are so blessed to have such sweet children and their families. Chris and I's hearts swell with joy and pride of our families. Our pictures show it.

Each Thanksgiving gives us the time to reflect what is most precious and important to us. My family becomes more dear to me with each passing year. I have come to know I have the most talented, gifted, and beautiful family of all the families of the land. I think God each and every day for giving me such a special gift. The gift of love through my family.

Our house is starting to look like a house. I'm so excited with the process. As you can tell, what used to be our little house is the white part in the picture. This house will definately be big. Yeah.

3rd Annual Pumpkin Patch Adventure 10/30/2008

We go to a different pumpkin patch each year. This time it was Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch, south of Liberty. We had so much fun. Kids wore us down. But that's what it is all about.

Giovanny is almost 4 months old. He is growing so fast. He has such a sweet disposition. He is such a good baby. I have diffenately fell in love with him. Time slips by too quickly. We enjoy having him on the weekends. He sure adds joy to mine and Papa's lives.

Nana gave me a bath in her sink today. I love my baths. We then went to General Conference. I thought it was boring, so I just slept through it. Love you, Giovanny

Our House 9-28-2008

This is our house from 128th street. But this is only 1/2 of the house. I'm become more excited each day as I watch the building of our new and wonderful home.

Sheathing time 9/25/2008

Today most of the sheathing was completed. It's starting to look like something. I just found out the usable upstairs will be the size of our existing home now. Yeah. All kinds of space.

Look at this handsome young Gio. He continues to stay with us Saturday and Sundays. He goes to church with Nana and Papa each Sunday. He's such a good boy. What an incredible joy he is to our family. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. His smiles warm our hearts. We truly love him so.

The house is finally started

We have finally started the addition to our home. Footings were poured Wednesday, forms went up Thursday and foundation was poured Friday. Saturday, we had 15 men from the church and children come to help. The roof came off of the old house and we started with the upstairs floor and walls. No rain is in the forecast throughout the week. Hopefully it will stay dry. We are so very excited. As you can tell I have lost my yard. Also in the last picture what once was my bedroom is now a star filled sky ceiling. (no ceiling at all). This should be fixed tomorrow. We'll keep you posted.

We started smiling really well today. Isn't he just so very cute. What a joy. He has started cooing and talking to us and really responding to our words. He loves to have the attention. We love giving it to him.

Riding Horses at Nana and Papa's 8/16/2008

We went riding today. How very much fun we had. They enjoyed sitting on Daisy and letting her eat grass much more than riding her. Papa led Daisy around and Nana and Giovanny watched. Giovanny wanted to ride but I told him he was still to little.

Giovanny's First day to Church 7/28/2008

Giovanny was able to go to church for the first time this Sunday. Isn't he just so cute in his little Sunday outfit. He's such a sweet and good boy. Nana thinks he's the best.

Andrew and Ashley was getting ready to leave on their cruise. Since they had a dress up dinner, Andrew asked to borrow Chris tux. Chris thought it would be neat for him to wear his skull cap. I had to take a picture of my "Oh so Fine, Andrew of Mine. I think he has turned out to be quite the handsome young man. You should see his family.

We are still trying to accomplish the feat of putting in a foundation. To this date we have not been successful, as pictures show. Chris is looking to pump it out. We have the money and the time now it just continues to rain. Always something.

Shae took a shower today and chose to stay in after Nana and Giovanny had gotten out. I went back in to take a picture and this is how the picture turned out. Truly an angel from heaven. She's just that sweet too.

Giovanny's First Piano Lesson 6/29/2008

How fun it was to put Giovanny up to the piano. I'm sure he will be a grand pianist one day. He seemed to enjoy his time at the piano.

Rikki's Baby Shower 6-28-2008

We had such a wonderful time today at Rikki's baby shower. We had to kick the guys out. It was held at Rick and Mary's house. She decorated so cute. I made a vegies and fruit tray and Mary made some dips with chips and crackers. Of course there was the cake, it was so very sweet. Rikki was so excited. She received many wonderful gifts and of course we each had our turn with Giovanny. He is so very precious. We played several shower games. One where Rikki held a basket of baby things and walked around the room. Then she was sent downstairs. We then had to guess.....all the things about Rikki, what she was wearing, hair, eyes, fingernails painted ect. Then we guessed about the items in the basket. It was a lot of fun.
